Chemistry
in Visual
Chemistry in Visual – Interactive Poster Motion is part of a collaborative exhibition created for the Chemistry and Biochemistry Open House at Ohio University, where chemistry students shared their molecule research with art students who translated these concepts into visual form. This contribution to the interdisciplinary showcase consists of posters that combine print and motion to interpret the behavioral qualities of three molecules. Each poster includes a QR code that activates a motion sequence, transforming the static layout into animated typography and visual rhythm.
Molecular Behavior
TNT builds tension through steady pacing before breaking into scattered letterforms. Sulfuric Acid expresses corrosive intensity with fast collisions and melting textures. Nicotine moves with soft, drifting motion to suggest its calming yet stimulating effects. Together, these motion studies translate molecular behavior into clear, engaging visual narratives.
